Security strengthened at Kebbi NYSC camp

Following cases of kidnapping and insecurity across the country, the Kebbi State coordinator of National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Mr. Ebenezer O. Olawale, has assured the incoming Batch “B” stream one of safety and security.

Briefing newsmen yesterday in his office, the state coordinator said that security agencies across the state have been mobilised to ensure hitch-free camp training.
About 10 soldiers, as well as State Security Service (SSS), civil defence, Mobile Police (MOPOL) police and other parliamentary forces are expected at the camp.
“We are expecting 2,300 corps members Batch “B” who have graduated from different institutions and posted to Kebbi State for the service. Kebbi is an insecurity-free state but prevention is better than cure. Before you enter the camp this time around, you must be screened including my staff,” he stated.
He lauded the National Union of Road Transport Worker (NURTW) for their commitment and safety drive in terms of the transportation system and journalists for effective coverage.
He also thanked the Kebbi State governor and other principal officers for their commitment towards actualising the dream.
