Lagos riders are embarking on a protest action to express their dissatisfaction and anger at the ban of motorcycle and tricycle by the state government.
The riders are also appealing to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos to revoke the ban on the restriction on the movement of Okada and Keke riders around Lagos.
Motorcycles and tricycles are part of the major means of transportation in Lagos.
The riders lamented the loss of jobs as they claim that they get their daily bread and feed their family from little penny made from the business as they blamed the federal government of being unable to tackle the issue of unemployment in the country.
The riders came out in mass to voice their dissatisfaction to the state government and its side effect on riders as many feeds on this business.
Speaking to one of the protesters, Mr Fatai, he described the ban as "a hard decision for us to accept and that's why we on the street begging the governor to please consider our daily bread and families too. this is too much to accept."
'' What do we do now? should we steal or break the bank? how do we feed our families or pay our house rent?'' Eric, another protester said.
The riders promised not to call off the protest until the state government revokes the ban.
