Mimiko Has Nothing To Celebrate For His 7 Years In Government-Ondo APC

On Sunday, the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State said the government of Governor Olusegun Mimiko has no reason to celebrate seven years of governing the State.

The Party declared that Mimiko administration should "bury its head in shame" as its government was characterized by anti masses policies and heavy taxation on the people.
The Publicity Secretary of the Party,  Omo'ba Abayomi Adesanya, made these comments during a press statement issued to journalists in Akure, the Ondo State capital.
Mr. Adesanya criticized accused Governor Mimiko of deceiving people with cosmetic projects.
"Dr. Olusegun Abayomi Mimiko and his Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)  have no reason to celebrate their seven years of rudderless leadership in government,” he declared.
He noted that the seven years of the People's Democratic Party was characterized by unemployment, forced taxes, and the suffering of the people.
"It was seven years of unemployment, forced taxes, non-payment of workers salaries, the total neglect of pensioners, unwarranted retrenchment, infrastructural decay, economic depression, and backwardness in our dear sunshine State," Mr. Adesanya claimed.
The Party's publicist argued that the tenure of the embattled governor Mimiko has brought hardship to the residents of the State with dilapidated infrastructures and bad road intercity network.
He added that the Ondo State Oil Producing Area Development Commission (OSOPADEC), which was put in place to cater to the needs of the people from the coastal area has nothing to show for the several billions of naira given to it.
"Ondo State being the richest State in the South-West after Lagos, has nothing to show for all this money.
"What our dear Governor Olusegun Mimiko is good at is buying awards all over the places, sponsor PDP political meetings on behalf of President Goodluck Jonathan, and producing propaganda,” Mr. Adesanya said.
Mr. Adesanya concluded that Mr. Mimiko’s few accomplishments were not worth the seven years of his government.
