Former Deputy Speaker of the defunct Bendel State House of Assembly and the Third Republic Senator, Francis Spanner Okpozo, is dead.
Okpozo, a member of the Board of Trustees, (BoT) of the All Progressives Congress (APC), died at the age of 84 on Monday.
Confirming the death, a family member, Mr. Sunday Okpozo, told SaharaReporters that the politician died at the University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH), Benin, Edo State, after a brief illness.
When a SaharaReporters' correspondent visited the late Okpozo's country home at Ozoro, headquarters of Isoko North Local Government Area of Delta State, on Tuesday morning, he saw a large number of sympathizers and APC members in the compound.
