Mr. Kiruwa, who spoke to journalists on Sunday in Yola, said most of the stolen cattle from its members were transported in trucks to markets and abattoirs across the country. He said the introduction of waybill to be issued at approved loading and downloading points, would be done in collaboration with National Union of Road Transport Workers and other stakeholders.
Mr. Kiruwa said the implementation of the programme would commence within the first quarter of this year, and urged all members and stakeholders to accord it maximum support.
The national chairman was in Adamawa in the course of his nationwide tour to meet members and sister unions. He said that the union wanted to bring all members under one umbrella for a united front to contain the challenges facing cattle breeders nationwide.
